Non-duality, otherwise known as Advaita Vedanta, is a yogic philosophy, which shares many similarities with the Essenz.
Non-duality, just like the Essenz, also refers to there being no individual self or identity separate to our original state of being. I AM, our original consciousness, exists in the here and now as a unified whole.
What is known as the individual is an entity that is created through the medium of ego. This entity removes us from the here and now and provides us with a past and a future. It misleads us into thinking and believing that we are our thoughts and emotions, and we are our body.
The truth about how much we are held ransom by our ego is something that non-duality and the Essenz do well at exposing. They show us how to experience life as it originally is, and move beyond the illusion and delusion of ego, body and individual self-concept.
A series of videos by Pernille Damore, a Danish naturopathic doctor based in the UK, are quite good at explaining the concept of the Essenz - even if she calls it self-enquiry, direct experiencing and non-duality.
