A barefoot approach

Going barefoot increases our contact with the ground (earth) and environment we walk through. Without shoes, our feet are able to use their highly developed sensitivity and as a result we are more conscious of our every move and step, treading carefully, rather than letting an external tool cushion us, as we charge through life.

A barefoot approach to life is the same. Taking a barefoot approach means:

  • Stripping down to the essentials
  • Removing artifice and pretense
  • Taking greater care in what we do and how we do it
  • Accepting responsibility
  • Thinking simply and sustainably
  • Using our inbuilt sensitivity
  • Reconnecting with our surroundings
