This introduction on Living the Essenz provides a foundation for the person interested in following the path to their original nature.
It’s easy to think that concepts like the Essenz were created by enlightened people, but in actuality, nobody created the Essenz or the idea behind it. The Essenz has always existed, without beginning or end. It is the wisdom of life, and beyond the understanding of our rational and emotional mind.
What is true though is that enlightened people were aware of and receptive to receiving this wisdom of life and ‘translating’ its message into words and concepts that could be easily understood by everyone.
So this introduction explores the path anyone can take towards attaining the same awareness of and openness to the Essenz and our original way of Being.
Throughout history we have seen how this path has been observed and respected by those interested in its preservation, as well as adulterated and distorted by those whose sole goal has been to misuse it for gain and profit over others.
These ‘gaps in knowledge’ between the original path and its copies will be explored. We will see how the ‘advanced’ Western culture has suffered as a result of following the distorted path, and how so-called ‘lesser’ cultures have remained true to the original one.
The effect of the illusionary path the West has taken manifests today as a complete lack of life balance, poor mental and physical health, mindless and wasteful consumption, increasing conflict, ego pampering, and pain and trauma of all kinds.
For those who remain true to the old ways, the Essenz acts as a ‘temple’ - a sanctuary where those for whom the illusion is visible can retreat and seek shelter. We will explore how anyone can do this - embrace the Essenz as a sanctuary for calm, strength and happiness.
Everyone starts at the beginning of the path and progresses from there. It is really like climbing the proverbial mountain. There is no denying that following the path to freedom and truth is like navigating an obstacle course. The way we approach and perceive these challenges and obstacles is the all important X factor. What we are really challenging is our perspective and the obstacles our mind and its thoughts throw in the way. By accepting and understanding this, life becomes a whole lot easier and lighter.
The Essenz philosophy is thousands of years old, probably millions; even infinity would not be an overstatement. The Essenz has always existed and there has always been people keeping its knowledge and wisdom alive. Some of these people dedicate their entire lives to the Essenz, maintaining the supernatural state of harmony with Nature.
There is no temple or church dedicated to the Essenz, that is because each of us is the temple. The Essenz is found in and all around us. When we open our senses to this truth, we can recognise that the Essenz is at the core of Being.
