Gardbergfeltet and Einangsteinen are located in the Vestre Slidre kommune, Valdres, Norway.
The Einangsteinen is the oldest rune stone in Scandinavia still in its original location. There are around 600 unmarked mounds here, some burial mounds, others evidence of farming and settlement. It’s the largest of its kind in the county of Oppland and the area has been in use since around 4000 BC. There’s a magical feeling with a breathtaking view of the mountains to the west.
